Doerr Co., Ltd. plant on the corner of Weber and Breithaupt Streets in Kitchener. A caption on the front page of the newspaper reads, "$400,000 Blaze wipes out Kitchener plant; man dies." Below the caption there is a black and white photograph of the fire and an article with the title, "Candy factory is razed; four fire departments at scene; homes saved." The article is continued on page 2. The third page of the newspaper also includes 3 black and white photographs and 3 articles on the fire. The article, "Embers blew seven blocks," is continued on page 12.
