Album 2.

File consists of an album probably compiled by one or more of Martha Rieder's children. Includes snapshots of Martha and Talmon Henry Rieder, their children, and their family, many of them with extended family and friends. Includes snapshots taken at Felsheim, Woods Bay, Bayview Cottage, the family home on Belmont Ave in Montreal, etc. Album also includes newspaper clippings, letters to Santa from Edward and Paul Rieder, a letter from Edward to Talmon Henry Rieder, and ephemera. Some of the photographs include dates/captions, and album contains the handwriting of several different individuals.

File consists of an album compiled by Ella Anthes Cook, and including some additions probably by Martha Rieder. Includes snapshots of family members and friends and snapshots taken on Ella's trip to Europe, around Ontario, at Felsheim, and on her honeymoon. Includes a family photograph taken at Talmon Henry Rieder's 40th birthday, a snapshot taken when Earl Grey visited Berlin, a snapshot taken at the unveiling of Queen Victoria's monument at Victoria Park, and a photograph by Denton of the interior of Zion Evangelical Church.

File consists of snapshots of the cottage of John C. Breithaupt at Woods Bay, and snapshots of people in a canoe. A duplicate photograph is present. Photographs may have been taken by Martha Rieder.

File consists of mounted photographs relating to Martha Rieder's involvement at her church. Includes a group portrait of the first officers of the Junior Young People's Alliance (including Rev. J.G. Litt, and Martha as secretary), a snapshot of Martha's Sunday School class at the Grand River, snapshots of picnics of the Junior Young People's Alliance, and snapshots of Martha with her sisters and friends dressed in costume for church play, "In want of a servant."

Includes snapshots taken at Penetanguishene, at picnics, at a factory, part of a May 24 procession, and other subjects.

Trip to Niagara.

File consists of snapshots probably taken by Martha Rieder on a trip she took to Niagara on September 1, 1898 from Toronto on the S.S. Chippewa with her uncle and aunt [Anthes?], Irene [cousin?] and Ella Anthes Cook. Includes snapshots of Niagara Falls, Brock's monument, some of the party having a picnic, and other scenes from the trip.

Bayview cottage, Penetanguishene.

File consists of mounted snapshots taken at Bayview, the cottage of Louis Jacob Breithaupt, near Penetanguishene. Includes snapshots of the cottage and people on the lawn of the cottage, people canoeing, and a boat house labelled as "the ark." File also includes a group photograph taken on the lawn outside the cottage. Some photographs probably taken by Martha Rieder.

File consists of an unaddressed letter written by Ella Anthes Cook, an unsigned letter received by Ella, and a letter and postcard received by Ella from H. Milton Cook. Postcard contains a photograph of Cook with two other men in front of a pavilion, Woodside [farm?], Waterloo.

File consists of miscellaneous snapshots, most of which were probably accumulated by Martha Rieder. Includes snapshots of Martha Rieder, her children, and grandchildren, as well as other family members and friends. Talmon Henry Rieder is present in some snapshots. Many photographs include members of the families of John C. and Carrie Breithaupt, Albert and Louisa Breithaupt, and H. Milton and Ella Anthes Cook; Alma and Eva Rieder are also present in some photographs.

Photographs were taken at Penetanguishene, Georgian Bay, on Lake Huron, Port Dalhousie and other travel destinations; at various cottages; at the Rieder home at 58 Roy Street in Kitchener; and other locations. File also includes a colour print-out of a photograph Margaret Paisley [?] and an unidentified woman.

File consists of three photographs of a group of mainly young people, taken at a home at Burlington beach (also labelled as Hamilton beach). Included in the group are Martha Rieder and Ella Anthes Cook.

File consists of an album possibly compiled by Paul Rieder [?]. Includes snapshots and group photographs of family and friends and snapshots taken on trips. Includes photographs taken in Timmins, Larder Lake, Temagami, Sauble Beach, and at the Grand River. Some photographs include Martha Rieder and her children and possibly grandchildren. Some photographs appear to be missing.

Merner, Elizabeth and family : group portrait.

File consists of a photograph of Elizabeth Merner (nee Young) with her family, including children and grandchildren, taken at her home on Main Street in New Hamburg, Ontario.. Included in the photograph are Peter Rieder and Emeline Rieder (nee Merner), as well as some of their children. The people in the photograph are numbered and pasted to the bottom of the mount is a piece of paper identifiying the people by number.

Westmount prospectus.

File consists of material relating to the Westmount development in Waterloo. Includes a prospectus (Realty Pointers: Westmount, "The Development Beautiful") prepared by Beck & Eisenbach (Berlin, ON) containing a plan of Westmount; and a photograph of a topographical landscape painting showing Berlin, Waterloo, and Westmount, prepared by Gibson Catlett, Real Estate Landscape Paintings (Calgary, AB). The plan in the prospectus contains ms. annotations.

Dominion Tire Company factory : album.

File consists of an album containing photographs of the construction of the Dominion Tire Company manufacturing plant in Berlin. Includes photographs of the construction process, the surrounding land, the interior and exterior during construction, equipment in the tire manufacturing prices, etc., as well as photographs of unidentified men in offices and a photograph of Talmon Henry Rieder.

Kitchener Natatorium.

File consists of three photographs of the Kitchener Natatorium and its locker rooms. Talmon Henry Rieder played a role in the construction of the natatorium, located on King Street.

File consists of an album probably compiled by Paul Rieder. Includes snapshots of friends and family members and snapshots taken on trips to the US and around Ontario. Album also includes ts. notes "Tour of Western States," describing a trip to the US. Some photographs include date/captions. Some photographs appear to be missing.
