The volume is ¾ bound with cloth covers and gold-tooled leather lozenges pasted on both front and back covers: the front cover lozenge is red leather with "Miss E. Davidson" in gold; the back cover lozenge is dark brown leather with decorative gold tooling. The spine and corners have some gold tooling; spine has raised bands.
