Consists of ts.(photocopy) manual of peacetime emergency plans for the municipalities of the City of Brantford, Town of Paris, Townships of Burford, Oakland, South Dumfries, Onondaga, and Brantford, assembled by the Brant County Emergency Measures Organization. Includes township, town and city by-laws regarding emergency services operations. Also present is a cover` ms. memo dated March 10, 1977 to Ilmar Kao, Grand River Conservation Authority from Gerald Axworthy which lists the contents of the manual.

Biological impacts of the proposed Ayr Dam.

Consists of a ts.(photocopy) student paper by Barb Anderson, Barb Corkery, John Gusdorf, John McCormick, Gregg Sheehy, Gary Williams and Roberta Winger prepared for a fourth year Man-Environment course at an unidentified University, possibly University of Waterloo. The paper considers the possible effects of a proposed dam at Ayr, Ont. upon vegetation, wildlife, water quality and landscape.

Belwood Lake photos, Shand dam

Five copy prints of construction machinery clearing the lake bed, one photograph of Shand Dam, Aug. 14, 1940 and 16 col. snapshots of Belwood Lake in the 1960's. These latter have tape on the verso and have adhered to each other. Also includes a photocopy of the Aug. 8, 1942 Globe and Mail account of the opening of the Shand Dam.

Assessment of municipalities benefiting by the works of the Grand River Conservation Commission, July 31, 1939.

Consists of a ts.(photocopy) report dated July 31, 1939 by James Mackintosh [Grand River Conservation Commission?] to Frank P. Adams, Secretary-Treasurer of the Grand River Conservation Commission. The report is in the form of a letter and details the history and development of the GRCC and assessments of the financial benefits and costs accruing to various communities in the Grand River Valley from GRCA sewage disposal, flood prevention and water supply activities.

Apps' Mill Nature Centre opening, October 19, 1981 : working file.

Consists of materials relating to the opening of the Grand River Conservation Authority Apps' Mills Nature Centre which occurred on October 19, 1981. The file probably belonged to Ralph Beaumont, who at the time served as Information Supervisor for the GRCA Communications Division. Includes correspondence, ts. opening ceremony program outline, ts. draft copies of speeches and lists of invitees. Also present are leaflets concerning openings of other GRCA sites. The cover of the file folder contains ms. notes concerning preparations for the ceremony.
