File consists of material relating to Talmon Henry Rieder's contract with the United States Rubber Company (Canadian Consolidated Rubber Company was a subsidiary). Includes records relating to five year contracts for his position with the Canadian Consolidated Rubber Co. signed in 1910 and 1915 and the attempted negotiation of a contract in 1919 (and Rieder's subsequent resignation as president), as well as records relating to Rieder's salary recommendations for the company for 1918 and the value sharing plan of the United States Rubber Co.

Includes incoming and outgoing correspondence, signed agreements, and brochures. Correspondence is among Talmon Henry Rieder, Samuel P. Colt (president of United States Rubber Co. to 1919), Charles B. Seger (president from 1919), Homer E. Sawyer (general manager), and others at the United States Rubber Co. and the Canadian Consolidated Rubber Co.

Series consists of documents relating to land transactions. Most materials document the ownership history of the property consisting of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, and in particuar Lot 3, on the south (or west) side of Ahrens Street and the north side of Weber Street in David Weber's survey in the town of Berlin (now Kitchener); this property contained the Anthes home at 44 Weber Street and the Rieder home at 58 Roy Street.

Also present are documents relating to other land in Berlin as well as land in the Township of Wilmot, the Town of Moberly, and the District of Parry Sound. Series includes mortgages, deeds and certificates of ownership, abstracts from the Registry Office (Berlin), invoices, etc.

File consists of an abstract from the Registry Office in Berlin of all records pertaining to Lot 2 on the north side of Weber Street and Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 on the south side of Ahrens Street of David Weber's survey of the Town of Berlin. The first entry in 1798 shows R. Beasley, J. Wilson, and J.B. Rosseau as the grantor and D.W. Smith, W. Claus, and A. Stewart as the grantee; the last entry in 1865 shows David Weber as the grantor and Jacob Hess as the grantee.

Other names appearing on the abstract are: Joseph Brant, Dan Erb and Jacob Erb, Benjamin Eby, and Frederick Gaukel.

Series consists of photographs, most of which were accumulated by Martha Rieder, with some accumulated by Talmon Henry Rieder and some probably by Margaret Paisley and Paul Rieder. Photographs relate predominantly to multiple generations of the Anthes and Rieder families and include formal and informal family portraits, snapshots of family and friends, and snapshots taken while visiting cottages in the Penetanguishene area.

Other subjects include: Martha and her friends at Ontario Ladies College, business associates of Talmon, the Dominion Tire Company, the Anthes Manufacturing Company, Zion Evangelical Church events and groups, the Kitchener Natatorium, and other subjects. Many photographs from the period 1895-1906 were taken and possibly developed by Martha Rieder.

Series contains eight portraits (plus two duplicates) by Notman & Son, Montreal, all of which are in very good condition; and many portraits by James Esson of Preston. Includes loose photographs, photograph albums, and negatives.

File consists of snapshots probably taken by Martha Rieder on a trip she took to Niagara on September 1, 1898 from Toronto on the S.S. Chippewa with her uncle and aunt [Anthes?], Irene [cousin?] and Ella Anthes Cook. Includes snapshots of Niagara Falls, Brock's monument, some of the party having a picnic, and other scenes from the trip.
