A scribbling book belonging to Orpheus Moyer Schantz. The notebook was later passed on to Sophie Emma Schantz who added her own notes. Ephemeral material has been removed and original locations have been indicated. Note that some ephemeral material was written by Etta Schantz White.

A brochure from the Mountain View Hotel and Motor Lodge in Gatlingburg, Tennessee. The Motor Lodge was a stop on the Schantz tours trip to the Great Smoky Mountains and the original owner Andrew Huff helped to spearhead the movement to have the area made into a national park.

Also included are one Valentine's card from Ruth Schantz and one empty envelope.

Four collage calendars from 1898, 1900, 1910 and 1912. 1898 features a drawing of bees, grasshoppers, and reeds by Orpheus Moyer Schantz, as well as a large ribbon and the inscription "Learning by study must be won, t'was never entail'd from sire to son." The verso is inscribed "Aunt Etta, Merry Christmas from Ruth." 1900 shows a photograph of Ruth Schantz and is inscribed "A Happy Year! 1900." The verso reads "Grandpa, from Ruth, Christmas 1899." 1910 shows a painting of a woman holding an umbrella and the verso is inscribed "Grandpa Schantz from Worth." 1912 shows a photograph of a young boy taking a photograph of a young girl and is captioned "The young photographer."

Five invitations and one envelope for events taking place the home of Orpheus Moyer Schantz at Morton Park. These include a New Years party, an evening of entertainment, an Arabian night, and a masquerade. The envelope is address to "Mr. Austin Schantz" and originally held the invitation for the masquerade. Others listed as hosts and entertainers include:

One envelope with the name "Austin" containing one folded dinner menu. The menu is hand lettered and the recto reads " Austin T. Schantz April 21, 1894." The interior lists a series of riddles, the answers to which are not given, but which assumedly are the plates for dinner. The menu is lettered in Orpheus Schantz's hand.
