This was sent as a postcard from Norman Schneider to Emma Schneider, postmarked Aug. 10, 1914: "Dear Emma, Don't know whether you have seen this. Had a grand dance Sat. eve. and the floor was crowded. Lots of pretty girls up here so of course I am having a good time. Norm."

There are also shoes displayed in front of the group. The three men in the centre of the front row are identified as Henry Ahrens, Mr. Bornhold, and Charles Ahrens. The boy on the end is identified as Fred Ahrens.

Some snapshots were taken at Clifton Cottage, Southampton, Ont. One snapshots includes a view of the house at 25 Courtland Ave. W. in Kitchener, Ont. Others show children playing outdoors in the winter.
