Real estate dealers in high class property, business and residence properties improved and unimproved in all parts of Chicago and suburbs.” Cover of map is signed by Orpheus Moyer Schantz, Worth Flagler Schantz and George D. Humbert.

One piece of correspondence in French addressed to Dorothy Etta White from M. Charlemagne, France. Includes envelope with stamp cut off, also a souvenir embroidery in a card.

An article written by Harold Russell titled, “Schantz Family of Berlin: The Children of Tobias and Mary Schantz.” The article provides biographical information about the children of Tobias and Mary Schantz including Orpheus Moyer Schantz, Etta Lydia Mary White (nee Schantz), Sophie Emma Schantz, Austin Tobias Schantz, Franklin Abram Schantz, Arthur Benjamin Schantz, Florence Annie Catherine Schantz, and Herbert Cecil Palmer Schantz.

Includes City of Kitchener Tax Demand dated 1958 and fire insurance policy documents dated 1962.

• Nine certificates issued to Etta Lydia Mary White (nee Schantz) and signed by her teacher, G.A. McIntyre attesting that she received no discredit marks for the period January-November 1879 while attending the Conestoga Public School. The certificates have printed images of birds on recto.
• Cards were found in the original envelope addressed by hand to Miss Etta Schantz, West Montrose, Ontario.

One studio portrait of Annie Nash Fry (wife of Samuel Fry) seen looking at camera. Annie is shown late in life wearing a bonnet which ties at her neck, and glasses. Also includes one print of the identical portrait with a poem. Item may be a funeral card. Identification from verso with birth date as 1819 and death as 1903. Identification is uncertain however, as a print with a poem about the woman identifies the woman as Nancy Fry (possibly familiar form of Anna).

Poem reads:

We meet, in thankfulness to-day,
For blessings showered on our way.
May all our hearts with love abound
As once again we gather round
The heartstone of Aunt Nancy.
Vineland, August 9th, 1905.

Several items found with Frank Schantz correspondence and business papers. Of note is an invitation and place card for a dinner in honour of Captain Roald Amundsen given by the Geographic Society of Chicago, Feb. 2, 1913.

Schantz’s Letters Home.” The article provides biographical information about Orpheus Moyer Schantz.
