File consists of one Memorial Cross awarded to Janie Elizabeth Bowlby Clement upon the death of her son David Ward Clement in 1917 during First World War. Includes medal, ribbon, case and a note card that reads "This cross is presented to you in memory of one who in the Great War died for King and Country" signed by Hugh Guthrie, Minister of Miltia & Defence. The verso of the mdeal reads "98079 1st. Class A.M. D.W. Clement." The Memorial Cross was given to the mother, widow, or next of kin of a Canadian soldier lost in First World War.

File consists of one Victory Medal awarded posthumously to David Ward Clement for his service in First World War. Includes the medal, ribbon and original envelope in which it was mailed to Edwin Perry Clement. Inscription on rim of medal reads "98079 Pte. D.W. Clements [sic] R.F.C." Was originally mailed with the British War Medal.
