Consists of a ts. appraisal report regarding Shade's Mills Resevoir and Conservation Area, Township of North Dumfries, County of Waterloo, prepared for the Grand River Conservation Authority and the Government of Ontario, by L.J. Simmons, Senior Appraiser and R.T.C. Hilton, A.A.C.I, S.R.A, Ontario Land Economist, Manager of Appraisals, Associated Property Appraisers Limited, Don Mills, Ont.

The report includes site plans of the Shade's Mills Reservoir and Conservation Area; the addenda consists of 9 aerial photographs of the site and a report titled, "Forest product evaluation : Shade's Mills Conservation Area, Grand River Conservation Authority," by C.J.R. Wilde, R.P.F., Consulting Professional Forester for Associated Property Appraisers Limited.

Grand River Conservation Authority : Conestogo River : proposed channel improvements and composite bridge project in the Village of Drayton, Ont., 1968.

Consists a binder containing ts. materials relating to the construction of a composite bridge and the undertaking of channel improvement on the Conestogo River at Drayton, Ont. Includes correspondence to and from the Grand River Conservation Authority and provincial and municipal governments. Also includes photographs of the Conestogo River near Drayton, Ont., including views of the existing bridges.

Also present is a ts. (photocopy) report titled "Report on the Main Street Bridge over the Conestogo River, Village of Drayton, County of Wellington," by V.R. Astrop, Consulting Engineers, Ancaster, including blueline drawings of the proposed bridge. In addition, there are two blueline drawings of the channel improvement plan by an unidentified creator, possibly the GRCA.

Consists of ts.draft student work report prepared by Harold A. Cockburn for the Department of Co-ordination and Placement, University of Waterloo. The report studies methods to control erosion along the Nith River Valley and is based upon the author's experience as a co-op student with the GRCA from August to December, 1969. Includes blueline contour and site maps and drawings of erosion control structures; also present are photographs of the Nith River

Five copy prints of construction machinery clearing the lake bed, one photograph of Shand Dam, Aug. 14, 1940 and 16 col. snapshots of Belwood Lake in the 1960's. These latter have tape on the verso and have adhered to each other. Also includes a photocopy of the Aug. 8, 1942 Globe and Mail account of the opening of the Shand Dam.

Luther Marsh slides : tray number 2.

Consists of slides of flora, fauna, farming and recreational activities at Luther Marsh and its surroundings, which were employed in a slide show. Identifications are provided on an ms. list on the interior lid of the slide tray; but many of those listed are not present. Includes slides of migratory birds, blue herons and their nesting grounds, various trees and plant life and crop harvesting.
According to the original GRCA listing, the slides were taken by Bill Miller.
