The notes were transcribed from tape by Lorna Gardiner (née White), daughter of John White. The transcripts make reference to White's grandfather, Johann Christoph Schneider, and his uncle, J.M. Schneider. They also describe early days of the J.M. Schneider business and life in Berlin (Kitchener), with an accompanying explanation by Betty Schneider dated June 21, 1995.
