Women listed under ?Buttonhole Hands? include Emily Devitt and Mrs Joachimi (mother or grandmother of Norman Schneider's wife).

A scrapbook containing news clippings relating primarily to the Salvation Army and poetry, engraved and photographic portraits of Salvation Army figures and events. The name Sophie E. Schantz is written on the first page of the scrapbook.

This scrapbook is actually a store ledger from 1864-1865. Every second page has been cut out to accommodate the volume of the pasted-in clippings.

A scrapbook containing newspaper clippings, poetry and pictorial items. Included are poetry about Kansas, items about Britain's and Germany's Royal families, fashion items, and sentimental pictures and poems. The scrapbook-maker has employed gilt and silver labels from cloth and embroidery thread to provide fancy borders for some items. Some loose pages and clippings are present, as well as loose manuscript transcriptions, with music, of four hymns, "The Ransomed of the Lord," ?A Golden Harp in Glory," "I Will Sing for Jesus" and "Never be Afraid," signed by Etta Lydia Mary White (nee Schantz). The centre pages for recording births, marriages, and deaths, have been filled in with information on the children of Tobias and Mary Schantz, up to the birth of Dorothy Etta Russell (nee White) in 1900.
