Community activities.

File consists of 13 photographs relating to events and activities in the Kitchener-Waterloo community in which Electrohome or CKCO-TV (Central Ontario Television Limited) played a role. Includes photographs of CKCO-TV camera operators and commentators at Queen Elizabeth's visit to Canada in June, 1973, and of W.D. McGregor being presented to Her Majesty; photographs of Prime Minister Trudeau visiting the CKCO-TV studio and meeting Carl A. Pollock; and photographs of Miss Oktoberfest, John A. Pollock presenting a cheque, and other subjects. File also includes a letter, a memorandum, and a typed news story outline about the Royal Visit.

File consists of six photographs (plus duplicates) of the Electrohome plant at 283 Duke Street (formerly 39 Edward Street) in Kitchener (Plant 1). One of the photographs is mounted on board. Includes aerial photographs.

File consists of eight photographs of the Electrohome plant at 480 Victoria Street North in Kitchener (Plant 2). Includes aerial photographs, and a photograph of the construction of an addition to the plant.


Facilities : Plant 3 : 809 Wellington Street, Kitchener.

File consists of one photograph of Carl A. Pollock and others at the 1956 ground-breaking ceremony for the Electrohome plant at 809 Wellington Street North in Kitchener (Plant 3), two photographs of the 1962 expansion during construction, and three photographs of the plant after the expansion. File also includes an artist's sketch of the plant and a memorandum.

File consists of three photographs (plus duplicates) of the Electrohome plant at 152 Shanley Street in Kitchener (Plant 4). File also includes an architect's sketch by Jenkins & Wright, Kitchener, of an addition to the plant with a typed cutline affixed to it.

File consists of and a glossy print of a drawing of Plant 6, located at the south end of Kitchener, with a typed cutline announcing the plant's construction; and an aerial photograph of the plant after it became operational. File also includes company brochures about the plant.


Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra.

File consists of three photographs showing the members of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, in which William Pope Clement played the viola for twenty-five years, and was a Life Director. William can be seen in the orchestra in two of the photographs.

Official opening : Plant 6 : publicity.

File consists of material relating to the publicity of the opening of Plant 6 in Kitchener's industrial park in 1966. Includes incoming and outgoing correspondence and memoranda, copies of news releases (some edited), 15 photographs of the plant (including several aerial shots) and the opening ceremonies, and a brochure about the plant. File also includes a typed copy of the remarks presented by Hon. Stanley J. Randall (Ontario Minister of Economics and Development), and a typed copy of the remarks presented by Hon. C.M. Drury (Minister of Industry).


Photographs : album 2.

File consists of photographs originally in an album created to illustrate the history of CAP Communications and CKCO-TV. Subjects of photographs include: television production equipment and facilities, television personalities on set, and special events (including an employee picnic [?] and the anniversary of CKKW-AM). Some photographs have identification on verso, and some pages in the photo album were blank.


Plant 3 opening.

File consists of 39 photographs of the construction of Plant 3 (Wellington Street) and the official opening ceremony. Includes informal progress photographs, photographs of speeches during the opening ceremony (including some of Carl A. Pollock), and photographs of the reception.


Plant 6 : industrial park.

File consists of material relating to the announcement and construction of Plant 6 in Kitchener's industrial park. Includes a news release, three photographs of the ground-breaking ceremony, and four photographs of the plant at various stages of construction. Pictured with Carl A. Pollock at the ground-breaking ceremony are Art Balabazuk, R.D. Armstrong, and Kitchener Mayor Keith Hymmen.


Plant 6 and plant 10.

File consists of photographs of Electrohome's Plant 6 (Kitchener) and Plant 10 (Cambridge). Includes photographs of the manufacturing, loading, shipping, and lumber storage areas and aerial photographs of Plant 6. File also includes a photograph of a group of Electrohome sales staff posing outside a bus with "Electrohome Showtime '66" hats and portfolios. File also includes one memorandum. Duplicate photographs are present.


Quarter Century Club.

File consists of photographs taken at Quarter Century Club banquets in Kitchener and Trois-Rivieres. Includes photographs of club members receiving a gift, and group portraits. Some photographs include Harry Greb and Arthur C. Greb. Duplicate photographs are present.
