The report of the Inter-University Workshop on Volunteerism and University Alumni held at York University on October 30, 1976. Organized as a co-operative venture among alumni officers and volunteer alumni workers from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute (now Toronto Metropolitan University), the University of Toronto, and York University, the workshop emerged from discussions following the establishment of the Ontario Association of Alumni Officers in March 1976. Recognizing that Ontario universities would become increasingly dependent on private support, particularly from alumni, participants explored strategies for volunteer engagement and alumni involvement. The workshop program included a brainstorming session, panel presentations, and a keynote address, and the report summarizes the discussions and recommendations arising from the day.
