This issue includes articles regarding the CSETS mandate review, recently elected Chiefs within the South Vancouver Island Coast Salish territory, employment strategy, the First Step Youth Program, and other topics.
This issue also contains an article describing the swearing in ceremony for Andrew Telegdi held in Ottawa, Ontario following his appointment as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister with special emphasis on Aboriginal Affairs. The ceremony was attended by Qualicum Chief Kim Recalma-Clutesi and Kwagiulth Chief Adam Dick. During the ceremony, Kwagiulth Chief Adam Dick presented Telegdi with a hand-carved talking stick and Telegdi wore a traditional Chief’s vest originally worn by Chief Arnold P. (Buddy) Recalma.
