Consists of materials relating to Grand River Conservation Authority flood emergency management planning and procedures. Contains correspondence to and from the GRCA concerning flood emergency preparedness, including notices of meetings of the GRCA with representatives of member municipalities, provincial flood co-ordinators and regional and provincial police forces.
Also includes ms. and ts. test messages, and actual flood warning advisories issued during a period of rising water levels on the Grand and its tributaries, March 21-23, 1980. Also present : newspaper clipping, and computer print-out of flow projections at various sites on the Grand River.

Ms. Welsh was instrumental in the creation of the Brant Waterways Foundation in 1988 and served as its Secretary in 1997. The Brant Waterways Foundation works to preserve, protect and restore waterways and their associated lands in Brant County, Ont.
