Consists of background materials assembled by the Grand River Conservation Authority for presentation at the hearings of the Ontario Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Grand River Flood, May, 1974. Primarily contains ts. (photocopy and original) correspondence between the Grand River Conservation Authority and federal, provincial and municipal governments concerning flood control programs and projects, including dams and reservoirs, on the Grand River and its tributaries. A large proportion of the correspondence is concerned with matters of funding.
Inserted in the file are : a Kitchener-Waterloo Record article titled : Flood wiped out pair's $10,000 dream, May 6, 1972; and a Regional Municipality of Waterloo pamphlet titled : Flood Warning System, amended March 20, 1980.
