The first (typed, 1 leaf) is dated August 5, 1962, the second (typed, 1 leaf) is dated September 21, 1962 and the third (typed, 1 leaf) is dated December 29, 1962. All three letters discuss the events surrounding the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The first is a two leaf typed letter from Stark regarding a request from Burtness and Ober to interview him in the summer of 1961 in Washington. The second is a one page typed letter from Burtness and Ober thanking Stark for meeting with them and inquiring as to whether he received their book.

On the bottom and verso of the letter Stark has written a letter by hand in reply congratulating the two on their work.
