Mark Haslett is former University Librarian with the University of Waterloo Libraries. Haslett obtained a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Toronto and an MLS from the University of Western Ontario. He joined the University of Waterloo as Associate Librarian, Information Services and Systems in 1996. Haslett succeeded Murray Shepherd as University Librarian in 2003.
