Twenty-seven advertising cards primarily from American retailers, manufacturers and organizations, which apppear to have been distributed at the World's Columbian Exposition (Chicago World's Fair) in 1893 during the period in which Etta Lydia Mary White (nee Schantz) was residing in Chicago. The business interests and organizations represented include the following:

Postcard addressed to a Miss W.E. Schantz written on an official postcard from the World's Columbian Exposition showing the government building and president Cleveland.

One pamphlet outlining the work of the World's and National Woman's Christian Temperance Union Department of Evangelistic Work. Includes notes on aims, activities, goals for 1901 and on topics such as the Bible in public school, and almshouses.

File consists of predominantly clippings relating to Clare Clark's trip to London, England as the Adult Adviser to the Canadian Delegation where she attended the World Youth Conference in November 1945. At this time Clare Clark was a member of the executive of the National Council Y.M.C.A. Other clippings contain information on the conference generally and on the Canadian delegation which attended this conference.

Also in the file is a memo (August 21, 1945) addressed to Muriel Jacobson by Harriet Christie, Associate General Secretary of the Student Christian Movement of Canada. This memo relates to the impending World Youth Council and Conference which is to take place in London, England in November 1945.

This file also contains a clipping which reports that Istanbul will be the venue for a Council meeting of the World Assembly of Youth in August 1950. The Canadian delegation comprised four youth leaders including Clare Clark.

A collection of food circulars distributed during the First World War in both Canada and the United States. The circulars provide information on food nutrition, rationing and recipes.

Series consists of materials relating to Jerzy Pindera's life during World War II and his time as a prisoner of war in Sachsenhausen concentration camp during the Holocaust. Includes primarily photocopies of correspondence (including those sent to his mother from Sachsenhausen), war records, articles, etc. Also includes ts. copies of Pindera's short stories on the Holocaust that make up "Fragments of Reports" and "Records of Life".

This folder actually contains material on a variety of topics and probably belonged to F.J.T. Maines. Includes two envelopes of material dating from 1915-1916. These include manuscript material: untitled sermon (?) on loyalty and war, 7 leaves; a hymn with music; a second untitled ms. sermon, 4 p.; manuscript notes on "Christian brotherhood". Includes ephemera and pamphlets produced for troops "On Active Service." Includes clippings relating to the war, to politics, and to topics of interest to F.J.T. Maines. A third gathering of material dates from 1931- 1939 and consists of clippings on topics such as world politics, Grey Owl, Niagara Falls, hawks, liquor legislation, poems, letters to the editor, etc.
