Fonds consists of materials created and accumulated by Stan Johannesen including seven diaries and original artwork for his novel Sister Patsy.

Collection consists of four files donated as part of the Sol Eisen collection of Canadiana. These items include a ms. of Mexican plays, a music manuscript, a receipt for work completed by a slave on chain gang, and materials related to the life of Frederic William Wile.

One notebook kept by Sol Eisen listing books he purchased, names of contacts, historical notes such as lists of philosopher and poets, names of people who attended Sunday School at his synagogue, timetables, definitions and more.

One scrapbook kept by an unknown theatre goer. The book is specially made for theatre performances and features in index of the plays, and a two page spread devoted to each play. The left hand side of the page allows for written comments on the title, date and location of the play as well as impressions, and criticisms of the actors and performance. The right hand side of the page is intended to be used to paste in the playbill. In many entries newspaper clippings about the performance are also present. All of the productions were held at the Castle Square Theatre in Boston by the Boston Stage Society in 1904 and 1905. There are records for 80 plays. Some of the playbills also include advertisements.

Audio reel recordings of séances held under the supervision of medium Thomas Lacey as well as other events, messages, and music. The séances were held primarily in Kitchener and Waterloo, Ontario although some were held in other areas in Ontario and the Unites States of America. Prior to donation, some of the reels were transferred to audio cassettes. The audio cassettes are also included in the collection. Also includes a cue card index to the séances and a notebook listing séances held at 362 Frederick St. in Kitchener, Ontario.

The Thomas Lacey séance collection accrual includes several files of séance reports that contain details regarding the sitters involved in the séance circles and messages on various topics from spirits alleged to have communicated through the medium Thomas Lacey.

The fonds documents Tony Urquhart's work as a painter, sculptor and teacher of art. Included is information on his earliest exhibited work as well as early correspondence and information on his activities relating to the arts in Canada. Of importance are his personal financial records as they relate to his work in lobbying to change the tax treatment given artists in Canada. A small amount of original art, i.e. working drawings, Christmas cards etc. is included.

The fonds includes material relating to the organization, management and results of yearly campaigns, as well as material relating to the allocation of funds to member agencies. Information about member agencies is present as well and includes their financial reports and ephemera. Publications issued by local, provincial and other social service agencies and United Ways help provide a context for understanding the larger framework within which the local organization functions.

These files contain information about groups admitted to and funded by the United Way as "agencies" between 1965 and 1994. Agency files contain a mixture of general information, publications, financial statements, annual reports and correspondence.

Collection consists of material relating to William Lyon Mackenzie King from the estates of his brother Dougall Macdougall “Max” King and of his nephew (Dougall’s son) Arthur Macdougall King. Its major component is correspondence from Mackenzie King to Arthur King and also to Arthur’s wife Kathleen, over a period of twenty-seven years from 1923 to 1950.The first letter is dated 1923, a scant three years after the death of Max King, when Arthur and his twin brother Lyon were 10 years old and the last in the series is dated July 5, 1950. The collection also contains documents and ephemera relating to King’s death, funeral and will, received by Arthur King as a participant in those events; also present are issues of major Ontario newspapers that covered Mackenzie King's death and funeral as events unfolded day-by-day. A small selection of photographs, some formal and some snapshots, are also present. A selection of books retained by the family, among them works written and presented by John King and Dougall Macdougall King, also works owned by Mackenzie King as a boy, present a tangible reminder of the intellectual legacy of the King family.

Fonds consists of materials created and accumulate by the Women's Press Club of Toronto for the years 1976-1981 that document their organizational operations and activities. Comprised of three binders kept by members of the executive committee which include business meeting minutes, executive meeting minutes, correspondence, newsletters, and more.

Fonds contains materials collected by and sent to Kay Rex for the purpose of writing a history of the Canadian Women's Press Club, as well as records of the Toronto Branch given into her keeping when the Club ceased operation. These were intended for eventual deposit at the University of Waterloo to join the book collection of the C.W.P.C. which was donated to the Doris Lewis Rare Book Room in 1977.

The fonds consists of records documenting Toronto Branch operation during the period of the 1960's to 1980's, including constitution and by-laws, correspondence 1965-1991, minutes of regular and executive meetings, 1968-1989, a file on the closing of the Club's premises at 44 York St., Toronto, and scrapbooks of club activities and personalities. Historical materials include textual records, photographs, publications and scrapbooks. The earliest scrapbook is dated 1921 and contains biographies and photographs of members. Trips taken by C.W.P.C members in 1950 and 1955 to the United Kingdom, Europe and Russia are documented through members' files, photographs, and scrapbooks.
