G. Stommel portfolio.

Millinery design portfolio in black paper created by G. Stommel with handwritten annotations regarding types of ribbons, shapes of felts, wires, and straw fibres used in the making of hats; drawings and magazine clippings with different styles of hats and headcovers; and mounted fabric samples showing millinery materials and sample stitches. Portfolio was probably made as a result of a sewing course taken by Stommel, possibly in a junior college or high school.

Portfolio includes information on bonnets, fedoras, highlander hats, sailor hats, tophat hats, pancake hats, tricorns, berets, cartwheel hats, skull-caps, straw disk hats, toques, chechias, Brummell hats, stocking caps, hoods, derby hats, half hats, helmets, turbans, pottery hats, pilgrim's hat, Bretons, sky-scrapper hats, postilion hats, roller hats, gaucho hats, handkerchief hats, and caps.

Portfolio also mentions some millinery designers and stores such as: milliner and fashion merchandiser Lilly Daché, milliner and fashion designer Caroline Reboux, fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, New York's luxury department store Bonwit Teller, California's high fashion and specialty goods luxury department store I. Collection consists of two plaques. One of is oval shaped with text that reads "Whaler Sailing 2nd Town of Dartmouth incorporated 1873 Bicentenary". The back of the plaque has an inscription stating it was made by the Atlantic Pattern Works. The second is a rectangular plaque with a metal etched portrait of a man in a suit and tie. On the back is a clipping that depicts the same image as on the front of with the name "Fred A. Hodgson" underneath.

City of Kitchener award of merit certificate presented to Norman C. Schneider and two clippings. The award was presented in recognition of Schneider's service as the city's representative on the Waterloo-Wellington Airport Commission for more than 40 years. It reads: "The Corporation of the City of Kitchener: award of merit. The mayor and council of the Corporation of the City of Kitchener gratefully award this certificate to N.C. Schneider in recognition of outstanding effort, interest and ability, freely given in the service of the City of Kitchener and its many citizens. Concordia Club fonds.

The majority of the archives of the Concordia Club were destroyed either as a result of the ransacking of the club by the 118th Batallion in 1916, or as a result of the fire of Nov. 17, 1971. As a result the earliest records of Concordia have largely been lost forever. A very small number of items can be traced back to the Concordia Male Choir (1873-1914). These take the form of two items of correspondence, programs for the "Sängerfests", clippings, and photographs. A small number of archival records also can be found which belonged to the "Deutscher Club, Kitchener" (1925-1930), and include a set of house rules, letters patent, and photographs. Some records from the 1930s have also been preserved to this day, and include artifacts, clippings, legal documents, a membership list, photographs, and programs of events. However, the majority of the materials date from the 1950s onwards. These materials document the history of the Concordia Club since the 1950s, and include artifacts, audiovisual material, clippings, correspondence, ephemera, financial records, legal documents, membership records, minutes of meetings, photographs, publications, and scrapbooks.

One scrapbook with handwritten knitting patterns and samples. Patterns include a star quilt, edging, broad lace, lace for pillow cases, Grandma's lace, wristlets, lace insertions, crochet slippers, knitted block for a counterpane as well as an advertising leaflet for sewing silks.

Victory Medal.

File consists of one Victory Medal awarded posthumously to David Ward Clement for his service in First World War. Includes the medal, ribbon and original envelope in which it was mailed to Edwin Perry Clement. Inscription on rim of medal reads "98079 Pte. D.W. Clements [sic] R.F.C." Was originally mailed with the British War Medal.
