The poem featured in the drawing was originally titled, Sleep Sweet and was written by Ellen M. Huntington Gates. The creator of this drawing changed the title and a few words in the lines of the original poem titled, Sleep Sweet by Ellen M. Huntington Gates.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year post card sent from Elizabeth Shantz to Tobias Schantz (spelled without a "c"). The front of the postcard includes an illustration of childlike angels, pine boughs and a quotes from the Bible. They read: "I am the Light of the world. S.Jno. 8:12" and "In they light shall we see light. Ps.36.9" The verso includes a written message from Elizabeth wishing Tobias a nice Christmas.
