Fonds consists primarily of correspondence, 116 letters, from Beulah Alloway to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Misener of Brantford, Ont. The letters describe her journey to Africa and her daily life and work as a missionary in Kenya. Also included are newsletters sent out by the Alloways, correspondence relating to Beulah's death, and 4 photographs.

Two-page typescript by Ida May Misener, Beulah's mother, titled "East Africa" with marginalia by Misener. Includes geographic and demographic information about Kenya and makes reference to Kenya's impending independence, as well as various Kenyan peoples including the Kipsigis, the Maasai, the Suk and the Turkana. There is also reference to the integration of a school system attended by Sharon, John and Philip [Alloway] with fees that "are more than most African families can afford," the building of roads, the death of Beulah Alloway, and Black people who had never seen a white person before.
