Colt was the chairman of the board of directors, as well as the president of the United States Rubber Company. The spirits alleged to have communicated through Thomas Lacey during this séance were Walter, C.D., Orlandis, Maskeline, Carl Oestreich, the mother of Mr. Swartz, the mother of Mrs. Lacey, the mother of Mrs. O. G. Smith, the mother of Mrs. Sheldon, Ward, Straight Arrow, Mike, Boss Flynn, Walter Saengbush, Reverend Vale Owen, Monsier Bracan, Reverend Harvey, and several unidentified spirits.
