A certificate issued by the Public Schools Inspector's Office of the Public Schools of the County of Waterloo on November 1, 1881certifying that Emma Shantz [sic], pupil at the Conestoga Public School, has been promoted to the sixth class.   • Cards were found in the original envelope addressed by hand to Miss Etta Schantz, West Montrose, Ontario.

It includes a wax seal with the gold and black ribbons of the Institute.
