These materials relate to a key teacher reception at the Conestoga Inn, to a F.W.T.A.O. fall conference, as well as to W.C.W.T.A. North Unit meetings and social events. Some of these materials also relate to events held at W.C.W.T.A. North Unit schools to mark the International Year of the Child and to other special events including the planting of a tree by Lieutenant Governor of Ontario , Pauline M. McGibbon at Bloomingdale Public School in Waterloo, Ont. Finally, this scrapbook includes new clippings featuring information on teachers who have recently retired.

These materials relate to a F.W.T.A.O. annual meeting, to a F.W.T.A.O. conference, to a W.C.W.T.A. awareness workshop, to meetings of the W.C.W.T.A. South Unit and East-West Units, and to a W.C.W.T.A. annual meeting. Two news clippings contained in this scrapbook report that Mary Johnston, principal at Keatsway Public School in Waterloo, Ont. has received the Diamond Jubilee award from the F.W.T.A.O. Other clippings report that Joan Westcott of Kitchener was acclaimed president of the F.W.T.A.O. in 1978.

Contains invitation, a menu, and a program for a gala evening dinner and dance hosted by the Waterloo County Board of Education to honour its retiring Director of Education, W.T. (Bill) Townshend. Also inlcudes a flyer featuring informaton on the W.T. Townshend Award of Excellence, an award presented each year to an outstanding elementary school teacher with the Waterloo County Board of Education by the Waterloo County Principals' Association.

Other items in this file include an general informaton leaflet about the Waterloo County Board of Education, as well as three transparencies featuring information on the Waterloo County Board of Education curriculum process and on education in Ontario. These were most likely produced for the purposes of a board presentation or seminar.
