The ribbon was given to all members of the Orientation Committee at the University of Waterloo in 1968 including Jim Keron. The committee operated under the Federation of Students (now the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association or WUSA) and was tasked with coordinating the various events and activities for incoming students.
The file also contains a button that is affixed to the ribbon bearing the inscription "U of W FROSH," accompanied by a handwritten insert that reads "FROSH POWER” as well as a black and gold beanie featuring the University of Waterloo crest and motto.
