Film features scenes of the Kitchener fire department equipment including cars and horse-drawn fire vehicles leaving the station and traveling down an unidentified street. Crowds on a street, a street car, automobiles. The 118th Battalion on parade with crowds lining either side of the street and the downtown Kitchener area. Soldiers leaving a building and exercising on a field, possibly Victoria Park.

Photographs of a commercial building at the corner of King and Water taken decades apart. The first, from the 1900s, is a copy of a photo of the building when occuped The Berlin Granite & Marble Works. The second, taken in 1947, should the building occupied by TNT. Surplus Ltd.

Artesian Well on Caroline St., Waterloo.

Image of Waterloo PUC and town officials at the tapping of an artesian well on Caroline St. in 1919. The group is seen standing on either side of the well, which is gushing with water. The well was capped in 1934; the accompanying news story also shows the gusher resulting from this same well being struck during construction of Waterloo Town Square in 1961.

City Councillor, 1938-1949.

Three clippings regarding Leavine in his capacity an alderman in the 1940s. One from the Kitchener Daily Record, dated Tuesday, December 31, 1940, reports that Leavine had been named chairman of the finance committee of City Council at the pre-inaugural caucus held on Dec. 30, 1940. Another, also from the Record, dated December 8, 1942 includes names and portraits of Kichener's newly elected 1943 city council, including Leavine. The final clipping is undated and outlines the results of the municipal election in Kitchener during which Leavine was once again elected to city council by 6,169 votes, receiving more votes than any other individual elected to the Kitchener council that year.

Clippings regarding Leavine’s activities as Mayor of Kitchener from 1950-1951. They cover Mayor Leavine and Mayor Bauman of Waterloo attending the official opening of the K-W Family Service Bureau in November 1950, of which both because the first members; Leavine's stance on the issue of civil defence; Leavine's involvement in the plans to build the Kitchener Memorial Arena in 1950; and Leavine’s daily morning walk to work as Mayor in the early 1950s. Another clipping from the Kitchener-Waterloo Record, dated June 17, 1958, during Leavine’s second term as Mayor, reports on Leavine's attendance at the official sod turning ceremony for the Kitchener police building.

Two of the photos, taken by the Kitchener-Waterloo Record, show Leavine in his office and at awards ceremony in honour of George W. Quick's service to the Kitchener Fire Department. The third photo, taken by Ontario Department of Travel and Publicity, Parliament Buildings, Toronto, Ont., shows Leavine as part of a group in the offices of the Minister of Planning and Development of the Province of Ontario, Hon. William McAdam Nickle.
