Fonds consists of material relating to the life and activities, both business and personal, of Albert L. Breithaupt from his 18th year on. Includes correspondence in German from his mother, Catharine Hailer Breithaupt. Includes correspondence, diaries, legal and financial documents, ephemera and photographs.

Materials related to the Breithaupt family, specifically the family branch Breithaupt Anthes, started by John Christian Breithaupt and Carrie Breithaupt. Includes photographs of the family in different locations and participating in various social activities, the family home in Kitchener and their vacation home in Penetanguishene, studio photographs of several members of the family, trips and travels in Canada and Europe, and photographs of later members of the family in different locations. Some of the photographs appear to be from later descendants of John Christian Breithaupt and Carrie Breithaupt.

Also contains textual records related to the political campaign led by Louis Jacob Breithaupt (John Christian Breithaupt's brother) and a metal printing plaque for the wedding of Helen Esther Breithaupt (daughter of John Christian Breithaupt and Carrie Breithaupt).

Materials include family papers from three families, the Breithaupt family, the Hewetson family, and the Clark family; records from the Guild of All Arts in Scarborough, Ontario, founded by Rosa Breithaupt Hewetson Clark and Spencer Clark; and several smaller collections acquired by the Breithaupt family and by Spencer Clark. The personal library of Spencer Clark, which includes many books, periodicals, government documents, and ephemeral items, was donated together with the archival collections, and is particularly strong in the fields of urban planning, architecture, and Canadian art.

The accrual consists of records related to various members of the Breithaupt family including business activities, correspondence and biographical information.

Two large albums of photographs and postcards documenting trips made to Europe in 1900 and 1960 by Louis Jacob Breithaupt and Rosa M.H. Clark respectively.

Fonds consists of material collected and maintained by Clare Clark. Included are records related to organizations and associations Clark worked with, as well as personal records related to family affairs and relationships.

Of note are records related to the commemoration of Holy Ann Preston, including the acquisition of land and the installation of a memorial cross, as well as files maintained by Clark tied to the Canadian Association of Adult Education, the Canadian Council on Rural Development, and the Indian-Eskimo Association of Canada.
