File consists of Keffer's copy of a letter addressed to Bill [last name unknown] from G.H. Baker of the Robert Simpson Company, regarding the appointments of F.W. Woolworth Co. executives, and in particular Keffer's appointment as executive vice president. Two newspaper clippings about the appointments from the Thursday, March 1, 1945 edition of the Globe and Mail are attached to the letter. File also includes a clipping about Keffer from a company publication.

File consists of correspondence addressed to Mrs. Mary Keffer regarding her husband's estate. The letters, some personal and some written on behalf of an organization, acknowledge gifts from Keffer made in his will. Also present is a newspaper clipping about his will.

Ephemera.

File consists of ephemera accumulated by Keffer. Includes dinner menus, programs, and guest lists; prayer cards; a concert program (Hart House, University of Toronto); an order of service for the institution of a rector; and a bon voyage card (with two snapshots, probably early self-developing film). Included in one of the dinner menus is a clipping about the F.W. Woolworth company and five snapshots probably taken on a trip to Germany.

File consists of material relating to the Keffer reunion held in Waterloo in 1964 and the reunion committee's appeal to raise funds for the Keffer Memorial Chapel at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary. Includes correspondence and a clipping.

File consists of the British passport of Mary Jane Keffer, issued by the Consul-General in Berlin, Germany. Inclusion: newspaper clipping from the January 9th [?] edition of the Daily Mail regarding the departure from Berlin (Germany) of the Keffers.

Passport and other personal documents.

File consists of personal documents of Ivan W. Keffer. Includes a Canadian passport, a German driver's license, a laminated alien registration card (US), a resident alien border crossing card, Canadian immigration identification cards for both Keffer and his wife Mary, an international certificate of vaccination, and a marriage certificate. Also included are manuscript notes and several American stamps. File also includes a typescript page containing information about the alien registration cards for each of the Keffers.

Scrapbook.

File consists of a scrapbook created by Keffer during the time he lived in Berlin and containing primarily newspaper clippings and personal correspondence. Clippings are mainly from German and American newspapers and relate to national and international news; some clippings also relate to the F.W. Woolworth Co. in Germany and in Canada and to personal interests (e.g. a Keffer reunion, a Berlin theatre performance the Keffers attended, etc.). The correspondence includes three letters each from Norman Schnieder and from Keffer's sister Ellie [last name unknown] as well as several letters from colleagues at Woolworth's and other friends. Some of the letters are addressed to Ivan and Mary Keffer and address the death in 1932 of Ivan Keffer's father.

The scrapbook also contains copies of several letters and a certificate from the National Socialist German Workers Party pertaining to the Woolworth Co. in Germany, several internal memoranda relating to the operation of the company, ephemera, and an inventory of Keffer's furniture and household items for customs purposes.

S.S. Leviathan.

File consists of the passenger list from the voyage of the United States Lines ship S.S. Leviathan from New York to England in March, 1927. The Keffers sailed on this voyage when they moved to Germany. File also includes three dinner menus from the voyage.
